"Mr. and Mrs. Bugg" This story begins at the place and time where our contemporary world has ended. It could be considered as a moment of dark humor in a post apocalyptic state. It is also at this point that we introduce, Mr. and Mrs. Bugg. A short narrative of such an example. Beginning in reality and ending in a dream.
Born in 1976 in Vienna, Austria. The self-taught visual artist started his career in film making: his first approach to the business was putting music videos for indie bands on digital tape while he as living in in the Hollywood Hills and San Francisco during the early 2000s. After he returned to his birthplace by the Danube and shot his first campaigns and editorials for some glossy magazines, the artist was once again intrigued by what the world had to offer and moved his base to London and afterwards Berlin, constantly on the lookout for interesting faces, avantgarde fashion and out-of-this-world locations. Overall, his works, be they still or moving, are always based on a strong concept. His images revolve around their objects: people, music, places. His vision he often executes with utmost complexity – from the choice of protagonists to the set design, from the lighting to the location. Andreas does not leave anything to chance. This perfectionism and his high aspirations as well as the urge to tread the unbeaten path and develop new techniques has gathered a professional like-minded team around him. Together, they produce a big part of works together - up until today. Since 2005, Andreas works as a full time photographer and video artist worldwide. His creative output reaches from artistically demanding high profile fashion editorial as well as fashion film to meticulously planned advertising photography. All of his works have one clear signature: he creates images by applying his own aesthetic, borrowing from futuristic dream worlds.
